Vakuum

A long-term, black-and-white analog project capturing the oppressive emptiness of urban environments from an observer’s perspective.

The series relies on large, stark surfaces and vast, vacant spaces to create an almost dystopian atmosphere. There is no forced concept behind it; the project populates itself slowly, purely by chance, whenever a single image from a day of shooting happens to fit this specific mood of isolation.

True to its title, Vakuum is a study of heavy, quiet bleakness – the unsettling void that exists within our everyday surroundings through a quiet, watchful lens.
